Conductors

Category: Organizations

Dates: 1982-Present

A group of friends formed Conductors in 1982 to serve Nashville’s leather scene. From its earliest years, Conductors established themselves as an important service organization that often raised money for charities like Second Harvest Food Bank and Nashville CARES, which focused on AIDS research and treatment. Their first home bar was The Crazy Cowboy, and then The Chute for 21 years until it closed. Today, the Conductors’ home bar is Trax.

According to historical records, it seems Conductors is one of the oldest and longest-running Nashville gay organizations still in operation.
